Accessibility Statement
I want this site to work well for everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Last updated: July 8, 2026.
ER Media is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort, not a one-time task — the site is reviewed and improved as content and standards evolve.
Standard I aim for
This site is built to target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the current best-practice standard for web accessibility. That means, among other things:
- Semantic structure with clear landmarks, a single main heading per page, and a skip-to-content link.
- Full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators that are never removed without a replacement.
- Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast ratios in the site's dark theme.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative imagery hidden from assistive technology.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting, plus an on-page motion toggle.
- Forms with programmatic labels, clearly identified required fields, and announced error and success messages.
Known limitations
I aim for WCAG 2.2 AA but do not claim the site is perfectly conformant at every moment. Some areas may fall short — for example:
- Embedded third-party video (such as YouTube) loads only after you choose to play it, and its player is controlled by the third party rather than by this site.
- Cinematic and background motion is used in places; it is muted, carries no essential information, and can be reduced with the “Reduce motion” control in the footer or your system setting.
- New or updated content may occasionally be published before it has been fully reviewed for accessibility.
Where a known limitation exists, I work to provide the same information or function through an accessible alternative. If something is getting in your way, please tell me (below) and I will help.
Tell me about a problem
If you run into a barrier on this site, or need information in a different format, please get in touch throughthe contact page. To help me investigate quickly, it's useful (but not required) if you can include:
- The web address (URL) of the page where you had trouble.
- A short description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
- The browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you were using — only if you are comfortable sharing that.
How I respond
I take accessibility feedback seriously and aim to acknowledge it within a few business days, then work with you toward a resolution. Timeframes can vary with the complexity of the issue, but you will not be ignored, and I will let you know what to expect.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility work here is continuous. This statement will be updated as the site changes and as I address the issues that people report. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
